About PensionPlannerUK

PensionPlannerUK provides practical, easy-to-use retirement planning tools for people in the UK. Our aim is to help users understand how much pension they may need, how their savings could grow, and how retirement income could affect where they might realistically afford to live.

Why this site exists

Planning for retirement can be difficult. Pension pots, investment growth, inflation, State Pension entitlement, tax, drawdown, housing costs and life expectancy all interact with each other. Many people know they should be planning ahead, but it can be hard to turn that into a clear, usable picture.

The UK’s current pension debate has also made this more important. Government-backed pension adequacy work has warned that many people may not be saving enough for retirement. PensionPlannerUK was created to make these questions easier to explore, so users can start to build a clearer path towards long-term financial security and financial independence.

Our mission

Our mission is to make retirement planning more accessible, more visual and more practical. We want to empower people with tools that help them test different scenarios, understand the impact of changing contributions, explore retirement income needs, and compare how different locations could affect future affordability.

The calculators on this site are designed to support better questions and more informed conversations. They are not intended to replace professional advice, but they can help users see where they may be on track, where there may be a gap, and what assumptions matter most.
